NOTHING TO HIDE

How Mizan works.

Educate deeply. Inform transparently. Show the evidence. We don’t make the financial decision for you.

What Mizan does

Ask a question, explore providers and understand the information behind a financial product. Mizan connects general education with sourced provider facts, dates and visible gaps.

How we find providers

We research official provider websites, public business records, regulator records and product documents. This directory is an evolving map of Australian Islamic finance, not a claim to cover the entire market. A brand is not automatically the lender, issuer or legal operator.

How we verify information

Our verification levels show how much information we've checked — not how good a provider is. Mizan doesn't endorse providers or certify them as Sharia compliant. If we can't verify something, we tell you.

What does this mean?

We record the source, its date where known, when we checked it and the product or service it covers. Provider statements are attributed to the provider. Conflicting details are disclosed or withheld. We do not silently infer missing terms, certification or legal links.

Regulatory records describe a named entity and a point in time. They do not establish that every advertised service falls within its authorisation. Absence of verified evidence is not a finding that a business is unlicensed.

What our verification levels mean

Level 1 — Identified · limited information

Identity and official presence checked. Unresolved legal-operator links remain visible.

Level 2 — Service information checked

Current sources confirm advertised Islamic-finance services. This does not confirm access or eligibility.

Level 3 — Product information checked

Specific product or service details, roles and material information reviewed. The profile names the scope; other services can remain at Level 2.

Level 4 — Enhanced verification

Relevant regulatory information, current product documents and available product-specific Sharia governance evidence reviewed. No listed provider currently reaches this level.

These levels measure information depth. They are not ratings of quality, safety, suitability, financial performance or religious quality. Services within a single provider can have different levels.

What we don’t do

We do not choose a provider for you, predict approval, make personalised product recommendations or certify Sharia compliance. Applications, personalised matching, referrals and monetisation transactions are disabled in V1. Factual discovery and education remain available.

How providers are ordered

Alphabetically by provider name. Category filters show advertised services in the selected category. They do not use your finances or create a personalised shortlist. Verification depth does not improve a provider’s position.

How Mizan makes money

Mizan is a business. We intend to earn revenue through referral fees from participating finance providers when customers choose to proceed through Mizan.

Payment does not determine which providers we list, what information we show, or how providers are ordered. We do not offer pay-to-rank.

Right now, Mizan does not have paid referral relationships with the providers listed on the platform. As commercial relationships are introduced, we will clearly identify them.

No pay to rank

We tell you how we make money — money doesn’t decide what you see.

Commercial information is stored separately and attached after factual discovery. It cannot change inclusion, facts, verification depth, matching inputs, ordering or visibility. Automated tests check that changing commercial information leaves discovery unchanged.

How commercial relationships are disclosed

Each profile states its relationship with Mizan. If referral arrangements are introduced, we will identify the participating provider and explain the fee arrangement at the point it matters. The future disclosure template is:

Mizan may receive a referral fee if you proceed with this provider. This relationship does not affect whether the provider appears on Mizan or its position in our provider-neutral results.

This template does not mean a referral arrangement currently exists.

How to report incorrect information

The correction form is currently disabled. Email info@mizan.au with the page, the proposed correction and a public source where available. Please leave out unnecessary personal or financial information.

Corrections are reviewed; nothing is automatically published. Email is handled separately from the prepared form workflow and its automated retention schedule. Read our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and corrections information.

Our sources

Profiles link to official websites, product documents, business records and regulatory evidence. Educational pages distinguish general explanations from named-provider examples. We do not turn a few examples into a market average or an industry standard.
